Be the Bridge Between a Child and His Innocence

This season, dozens of Miami’s local youth will spend their holiday on the streets of Miami Beach, Downtown Miami, Hialeah, and Homestead.


The Miami Bridge is a local shelter that provides temporary assistance to our young homeless population. Upon arrival at the shelter, the fate of these children depends on whether they can be reunited with their families. Unfortunately, the majority end up back on the streets within a 3-week period. Let’s strengthen their chances of survival.

SHANTI, a group of local youth dedicated to promoting social change, has initiated a Holiday Bookbag Drive.

YOUR CONTRIBUTION

One bookbag filled with the following items:

-1 sweater (females-medium, males/large preferable)

-1 package of socks

 -Gift Cards for either:
                                                                               Food                          Supplies                                                                     
               McDonald’s                     CVS               
            Burger King                    Walgreens  
                       Wendy’s                         Walmart/Target      

             -Toiletries (toothbrush, toothpaste, hair comb, Q-tips, etc.)

       ***** Age group: 12-17 years old
     **** All gifts must be unwrapped
